I hear from a lot of clients that they don't drink enough water, because they just don't like the taste. I don't think water has much of a taste. Most of us though are used to flavored drinks. Moving to plain water is just boring to the taste buds. Flavored drinks though are usually full of sugar and extra calories that we just don't need. Liquid calorie consumption is often the most common culprit to weight gain.
Our bodies need water. There is debate regarding just how much. Some believe the standard 64 ounces (8 cups) per day is sufficient, while others will tell you to drink half your body weight in water. I'm sorry, but I can not drink half my body weight in water! Eight cups per day is pretty reasonable. If anyone would need more that 64 ounce they likely consume that through food. Yes, food supplies our bodies with fluid as well!
There are plenty of products on the market that you can flavor your water with without adding calories, such as Crystal Light. Do you really want to consume chemicals though? Flavoring water with fresh fruit is a great way to add natural flavor. Lemon water is one of my favorites. Citrus can be a bit tart, so I add a sweeter fruit like strawberries to tone down the tartness of the citrus fruits. Fruit flavored water is pretty to look at too. Strawberry Citrus Infused water is perfect for a hot summer day!

I'm really bad about adding anything to my water beyond lemon. I need to do more to change things up.

We mostly drink water in our house. I actually love it but when I try to get my friends or family who aren't water drinkers to drink it I get the same response "It doesn't taste good" I don't get it! But maybe this recipe will help them give it a try 🙂

I would say no more than a day. The fruit will start to get mushy.
