Homemade Copycat Big Mac Sliders

A copycat version of the classic McDonald's Big Mac made with fresh ingredients. Lean ground beef cuddled inside a sesame seed bun and topped with homemade McDonald's special sauce.

Ingredients

Burgers

  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • 1 pound lean or very lean ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup onion minced
  • 3 slices of Cheddar cheese
  • 6 slider buns

Special Sauce

  • 1/2 cup light mayo
  • 1.5 Tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon sweet relish
  • 1 tspĀ  dill pickle juice
  • 1 Tablespoon minced onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spray the bottom of a 13x9 inch baking pan with olive oil spray.
  3. Spread out the ground beef evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  4. Bake ground beef in the oven for 20 minutes or until the temperature is 160 degrees F.
  5. While beef is cooking prepare the sauce: place all ingredients in a small bowl and mix until combined.
  6. When beef is cooked removed from the pan and cut into 12 equal squares.

Burger assembly:

  1. Place lettuce on the bottom of a slider bun.
  2. Top with one beef patty.
  3. Next, add cheese (1/2 of one slice is good).
  4. Top cheese with another patty and then pickles.
  5. Spread sauce on top of the slider bun and add a pinch of onion.
  6. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

If you want to warm the burgers, which I recommend, wrap them in foil either individually or all together in a baking pan. Place the burger back into the oven until the cheese melts for about 5-10 minutes.
