Applesauce

Ingredients
  

  • 6 sweet apples
  • ¼ cup apple cider
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Peel apples and cut into cubes.
  • Place apple cubes in a sauce pan.
  • Add lemon juice and stir to coat.
  • Add apple cider to sauce pan.
  • Heat over medium heat.
  • Cover pan and stir occasionally.
  • Let simmer for about 30 minutes or until apples are soft.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add cinnamon and nutmeg, stir to mix.
  • Depending on desired consistency, mash either with a potato masher or place in a food processor to smooth out sauce.
