Easy Mashed Sweet Potatoes

These easy mashed sweet potatoes are naturally sweet and add wonderful color to your holiday meal.

  • 3 sweet potatoes cleaned, peeled, and cut into chunks
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Line a small baking dish with aluminum foil.
  3. Place prepared sweet potatoes into baking dish, cover with foil.
  4. Roast in the oven for 40-45 minutes until sweet potatoes are soft.
  5. Remove cooked sweet potatoes from oven and place in a mixing bowl.
  6. Cream together butter, milk, and potatoes with an electric hand mixer until creamy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
